Christmas was on a Sunday this year, and guess what? I kinda loved it. Because we don't have any super young kids at our house anymore, there was no one busting down my parent's door at 5am begging to open presents. Instead, we slept in. And it was awesome. We barely dragged ourselves out of bed around quarter to nine so we could get ready for church (except mom, who was awesome to get up early and make cinnamon pull-aparts for breakfast!).
Church was the best today. I mean, it's always good. But today, it was especially cool. Both of the American wards combined with the German branch to have one Christmas sacrament meeting. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, I absolutely love it. I'm kind of a nerd, and I think languages are super cool. So when we all sing the hymns in our own languages and at the same time, I think it's pretty much the coolest thing ever. The spirit was definitely there and it was such a great meeting.
So, this was the first Christmas that we didn't open any presents Christmas morning. We didn't actually start opening anything until about 1:30. And it was great! It was all just perfect. I love being home for Christmas! Being with my family is the best present I could ask for.
Merry Christmas!
Great Pictures!!
